Looks chilly. At least the cold motivates a guy to run fast.Keep up the good work!

The Gridiron Classic

This past Sunday, Superbowl Sunday, while many of you were still in bed, I ran a four-mile race in Central Park. While I’d like to think that the thirty-five minutes spent running justified me in sitting on a couch to watch a football game and drink beer for four hours, the real motivation for the run was to further my goal of raising money for the Limuru Center in Kenya. I have already raised $152 toward our goal. Thanks to everyone for their support. I continue to run multiple times a week…See More

Hey Brendan, we really appreciate this effort for Planeterra. Wish I was going to be in NY to try make it the 4 miles with you, since I'll definitely be on the sidelines just watching when it comes to that 26 miles. Keep it rolling!

Have pea coat, will run.

This Saturday I woke up at 5:30 in the morning to run the Fred Lebow Classic in Central Park. This five-mile run is put on by the New York Road Runners to celebrate the legacy of the NYRR co-founder and president Fred Lebow. When I got out of the subway the temperature gauge read 20° Fahrenheit (-7° Celsius). It was a brutal day, but my only goal was to finish the race.Twenty minutes before the race I went to the baggage area to drop off my pea coat. I was informed by a bellowing staffer that…See More

Why run a marathon?

This past fall I turned 26. I began thinking about the things Iwanted to accomplish in my life, so I created a list of 30 things todo before I turn 30. Number one on that list was to run a marathon. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and thought it would be a goodthing to achieve while I’m still young, fit and not too encumbered byresponsibilities. I immediately entered myself in a lottery for entryin the New York City Marathon and began a training regiment. Fourweeks ago I ran my first…See More
